B. Mining Services: We have over 50 years combined experience in all phases of mining consulting including but not limited to: lease acquisition, mineral development, mining feasibility studies, all phases of surface and underground mining permits, supervision of construction of ponds and hollow fills, reclamation supervision including tree planting and productivity studies, surface mining supervision and administrative hearings.

Consulting Services Division
A. Mining: We have over 50 years combined experience in all phases of coal mining and have been providing those services for the past 20 years to many notable coal mining clients. A list of references and clients is available upon request.

B. Environmental: We have on staff an AHERA Certified Building Inspector (Asbestos). Certified Asbestos Management Planners, Certified Asbestos Abatement Supervisors, a Kentucky Certified Assurance Fund Contractor for UST removals, Haz-Mat First Response Certified professionals and a Class I Wastewater Treatment Operator. We also provide Environmental Phase I, II, III audits and Indoor Air Quality assessments as well.
C. Geological: We have a professional geologist with over 20 years experience in the mining and environmental consulting field. We have provided mineral evaluations on several properties in Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia and have a good working knowledge of coal, oil and gas strata in this region.
D. Hydrological: We provide groundwater protection plans, SPCC Plans, DOW Permits, KPDES Permits and groundwater evaluation using Piper/Stiff characterization diagrams. These diagrams show influences of natural and man made processes on water quality based upon statistical analysis of several parameters.
E. Biological: We have a biologist on staff that is experienced in all forms of field and laboratory biological investigations. We can provide aquatic and terrestrial biota studies (species counts), 401 Water Quality Certifications and all wildlife studies required by DSMRE.
F. Bioremediation: We employ the most recent state-of-the-art technologies in bioremediation. Our systems allow the most efficient means of cost and client liability reduction.

B. OSHA – General Industry: Our courses are intended for private sector personnel from all types of industries. They present detailed information on how the provisions of the OSH Act may be implemented in the workplace. Successful completion of our courses entitles the student to OSHA cards certifying course completion. Our programs and instructions are authorized and certified by OSHA.
C. OSHA – HAZWOPER: Hazardous material training is offered at our Pikeville facility as well as on-site. Confined Space Entry, Respiratory Protection and Site Hazard Training are offered on-site.
